Theodore Sariyev, the former captain of the Kazakhstan Muay Thai team, wins his latest victory in the super-heavyweight category by becoming the K-1 rules WKN international champion
Many sports’ experts and lovers of Thai boxing probably still remember the golden days of the Kazakhstan national team when Theodore Sariyev, who was the captain at the time, could not stop winning medals. The Kazakhstan Muay Thai federation and Yelyukhan sports’ club are still celebrating Theodore’s sporting achievements, which is not surprising if you remember that he managed to win a medal at practically all the competitions he participated in whether they were the International Competition at the President of Kazakhstan’s Cup or the World Championships for sports’ clubs in Yalta. One of Sariyev’s most impressive achievements was his victory at the 2007 King of Thailand’s Cup for professionals in Bangkok. In Turkey, where he is better known as Bakhadir Sari, he has become one of the country’s most recognised people.
